Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua has publicly expressed concern for his safety and that of his entourage ahead of a scheduled political tour to Emurua Dikirr Constituency.

In a formal letter addressed to Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja, the former Deputy President requested explicit security assurances, claiming to have received threats from local political leaders aiming to prevent his team from entering the area.
