The sight of a Rastaman living in a makeshift structure along the roadside next to Railways Golf Club had become one of many urban tragedies ignored—until Geoffrey Mosiria, Nairobi’s Chief Officer for Environment, made a difference. Tuko.co.ke – Kenya news.

While at first hesitant—wounded by past experiences of unmet promises—the man agreed to accept assistance. Mosiria’s response was holistic: a shower and clean clothes, food, promises of rent support for three months, and importantly, counselling and reintegration into society. Tuko.co.ke – Kenya news.

Beyond the immediate rescue, Mosiria pledged to remove the illegal shelter and restore that portion of the road reserve. His message to Kenyans was simple but powerful: those struggling in our streets are not invisible.
