Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna has come out strongly to affirm Raila Odinga’s stance that the party will not support William Ruto’s re-election in 2027.
Speaking after Raila addressed ODM MPs, Sifuna amplified the message that the 2025 MoU with UDA was never meant to bind the party to the 2027 polls.
Raila, visibly firm, asked ODM members to stop spreading premature endorsements, saying the party has not abandoned its right to front a presidential candidate.
Sifuna, in his trademark brevity, responded on X with: “Loud. Clear.” His reaction underscores ODM’s push to maintain political independence despite internal divisions.
Saboti MP Caleb Amisi echoed the remarks, insisting ODM still has the energy and public support to challenge Ruto in 2027.
